| Who is Keith Kellett? |

Keith Kellett is an English freelance writer and photographer who lives
in the South of England, near Salisbury - just a short distance from the
ancient stones of Stonehenge. When not traveling, writing or taking
pictures, he enjoys camping and hiking, driving, gardening and visiting his
seven grandchildren.
He has a taste for travel and adventure, and his serious interest in
the history of the places he visits is often disguised by a sense of
humour typified by what he usually offers as his bio:
"In 1996, Keith Kellett gave the
Queen her shilling back, and retired from the Royal Air Force. He now
travels, takes pictures, hangs out and drinks lots of beer. Occasionally,
he writes about, or photographs these subjects … and even more
occasionally, gets published. He lives in Amesbury, England, and his
favourite subjects are food and drink, old cars, beer, steam engines,
beer and brewing, historical re-enactments, beer, bygones, gardens,
travel, railways, nature and the outdoors and beer.
His latest travels have taken him to
Morocco and Belgium ... both of which he loves, because they understand
his French!"
"I got bitten by the travel bug at a very early age," he
says. "I grew up in the 1950s, when people didn’t travel much,
because WWII was just finished, and there wasn’t much money about. But,
those who did go anywhere interesting could easily be persuaded to come to
the Village Hall and talk about it.
"Sometimes, they’d bring back slides
to show. And my Dad’s boss used to bring around back numbers of the ‘National
Geographic Magazine’, with all that great color photography you didn’t
get anywhere else at that time. I could hardly wait to grow up and get out
there."
